Job summary
Wigston Pharmacy in Wigston is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support daily pharmacy operations and assist customers. You will undertake a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support provided.
Key duties include helping customers at the medicines counter, assisting with prescriptions under supervision, managing stock and deliveries, using pharmacy systems, and upholding safety and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
- For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
- Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship and Functional Skills if required.
Responsibilities
- Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
- Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
- Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
- Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
