Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy in the United Kingdom is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role to support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, help customers, and work with the team to ensure safe, efficient service.

You will undertake a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided. No prior pharmacy experience is required, as full training is provided, and you will gain a nationally recognised qualification over 15 months.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Duration: typically 15 months.
• Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning.
• Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours.
• GCSEs Maths & English desired but not essential; can be provided as part of the course.
• If lacking Maths/English Level 2, maths/english tests determine suitability.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the pharmacy and help customers.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
