Job summary

Skills4Group in Wigston is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will learn on the job, supporting the medicines counter, stock control and customer service while working towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will complete the apprenticeship alongside your role with full training and guidance, with typical duration around 15 months and site-based learning. No prior pharmacy experience is required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are desirable.
• Willingness to complete Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.
• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of the pharmacy team to ensure excellent service.
