Job summary

Skills4Group in Dudley is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role within a busy community pharmacy team. You will support daily operations, help customers at the counter and work toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will complete training alongside your job, with full support provided; typical duties include processing prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and delivering high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
