Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Colchester. You will learn on the job while working toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience in prescription counter services and customer care.

No prior pharmacy experience is required as full training is provided; you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, assist customers, prepare and supply prescriptions under

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries.
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
