Job summary

St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Assistant Technical Officer (Rotational) to support a medicines optimisation team. The role covers satellite dispensing units, ward top-up service, and blister pack management across multiple sites.

The post requires strong organisation, communication, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will join a large team, with opportunities to broaden responsibilities in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Pharmacy IT systems.
• Hospital Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day to day running of the satellite dispensing units on a rotational basis.
• Participate in ward Top up service / Omnicell Rapid TTO turnaround to maintain patient flow
• Participate in medicines optimisation tasks where accredited
• Assist ward-based pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at ward level maintaining the outsourced blister pack service / completing returns
• Participate in dispensary-based duties on a rota system
• Participate in late evening rota, weekends and bank holiday rota.
