Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rotational Pharmacy Assistant Officer (0.4 WTE) to work across Dispensary, Stores and Aseptic Services. You will follow SOPs, dispense inpatient, outpatient and discharge medications, and support the Dispensary Manager while maintaining data accuracy and compliance.

The role requires flexibility to cover a 7-day operation, weekends, late shifts and holidays, plus competence with pharmacy computer systems and Omnicell for controlled

Qualifications

• Ability to follow departmental SOPs and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Dispensary, Stores & Aseptics.
• Follow SOPs and ensure accurate dispensing of inpatient, outpatient and discharge medications.
• Support the Dispensary Manager and contribute to development of Dispensary Services.
• Use pharmacy computer systems correctly and enter data accurately from prescriptions.
• Dispense Controlled Drugs using the Omnicell System.
• Carry out daily housekeeping duties and participate in the cleaning rota.
• Assist in environmental monitoring and validation in aseptic services.
• Prepare documentation and labels using the pharmacy computer system.
• Monitor and assist in calibration/maintenance of equipment as required.
