Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust’s Whipps Cross Hospital is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant to join the Pharmacy Packing Service Unit (PSU). You will help with safe preparation, packing, labeling, over-labelling and repackaging of medicines, and support documentation, stock control and GMP compliance.

Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will handle orders, maintain stock, use pharmacy computer systems and participate in quality improvement and training. Weekend and late-duty rotas may apply.

Qualifications

• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to follow procedures
• Good communication and IT skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Packing, labeling, over-labelling and repackaging medicines
• Prepare products for quality control release and complete documentation accurately
• Receive, store and maintain stock levels; conduct stock checks and environmental monitoring
• Process orders using pharmacy computer systems and support distribution of medicines
• Contribute to GMP compliance and participate in audits and training
