Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust, one of the country’s largest NHS trusts, is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to support the Medicines Procurement and Distribution Department in the MDU. You will assist in stocking, stock control, and supervising ATOs and rotas, while contributing to procurement activities and staff training.

The role requires English and maths at minimum functional level and a Pharmacy services Level 2 qualification; prior supervision experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum functional skills in English and maths.
• Level 2 in Pharmacy services or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supplying medicinal items in the Medicines Distribution Unit to wards and departments.
• Support procurement activities and receipt of stock from suppliers.
• Maintain stock control systems including the Pharmacy Robot.
• Supervise ATOs and rotational staff in MDU.
