Job summary

NHS Scotland's Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy is seeking staff to join the Pharmacy Stores team. No pharmacy experience is required as full training will be provided, and you will help assemble medicine orders, label medicines, receive goods, manage stock, and support ward orders.

Based at Victoria Hospital, you may work across Queen Margaret Hospital and Victoria Hospital Pharmacy Departments, with shifts 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday and include weekend/public holiday rota.

Qualifications

• No pharmacy experience is necessary; full training will be provided.
• You will be based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and may work at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline and Victoria Hospital Pharmacy Departments.
• Must be physically able to lift and handle medicines including infusion boxes; may spend most of the day on your feet.
• Shift pattern 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday with weekend/public holiday rota.
• PVG Scheme prior to appointment is required.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom must be demonstrated before submitting the application.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly of medicine orders, over-labeling of medicines, and receipt of goods from suppliers.
• Maintenance of stores stock, preparation of ward orders, and ward top-up.
• Answering the telephone, computer work and reception duties.
