Job summary

Meeveem Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to support our pharmacists in labeling, assembling, and dispensing prescribed medicines with accuracy. You will help with daily operations and in-store health services, ensuring patients receive compassionate and safe care.

You will engage customers, handle queries, and follow procedures to maintain legal and safe pharmacy practice while embracing flexible shifts to serve local communities.

Qualifications

• Approved pharmacy qualifications: Completed an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (NPA DAC) or equivalent.
• GPhC registration progress: Registered or working towards registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• A caring attitude: Demonstrates care and compassion for customers while delivering pharmacy services.
• Flexibility for our community: Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, to keep the pharmacy running.

Responsibilities

• Label, assemble, and dispense prescribed medicines with accuracy.
• Support daily pharmacy operations and customer service alongside Pharmacists.
• Deliver in-store health services and prescription hand-outs per company procedures.
• Follow SOPs, data security rules, and stock management to minimise waste.

More about the role

Our store pharmacies play an essential part in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local communities. As a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant, you'll work alongside our Pharmacists to accurately label, assemble, and dispense prescribed medicines, making sure our customers get the safe, compassionate care they rely on.

Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist, you'll support daily operations, deliver key pharmacy services like blood pressure or health checks, and make sure every customer feels properly supported.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first : Engage compassionately with customers, guiding them to take medication safely and answering queries with a warm, helpful attitude.
• Accurately dispense medicines : Label, assemble, and perform first accuracy checks on prescribed items, supporting the safe and legal operation of the pharmacy.
• Deliver pharmacy services : Offer advice and deliver in-store health services, specialised fittings, and prescription hand-outs in line with company procedures.
• Keep operations safe and legal : Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, data security rules, and stock management routines to maintain availability and minimise waste.

You'll be the kind of person who has:

• Approved pharmacy qualifications : Completed an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (such as the NPA DAC), and completed—or committed to enrolling on—an approved Pharmacy Technician / Accuracy Checking qualification (like the BTEC Diploma Level 3).
• GPhC registration progress : Registered (or actively working towards registration) as a practicing Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• A caring attitude : Shows real care and compassion for customers, with an enthusiastic attitude toward delivering pharmacy services, supporting team goals, and using initiative to resolve queries comfortably and efficiently.
• Flexibility for our community : Happy working flexible shifts, including weekends where needed, to keep the pharmacy running smoothly for local shoppers.
