Job summary

The Boots Company PLC is offering a Trainee Dispenser role in a Boots store within the UK. You will train as you support the pharmacist, assisting in dispensing prescriptions and advising patients on medicines. Full training will be provided, and no prior experience is required.

This in-store role is based in the UK, with a path to NVQ2 completion and future development in pharmacy services. Salary is hourly and subject to UK locations and policies.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions).
• Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions to promote adherence and reduce waste.
