Job summary

The Boots Company PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2), dispensing prescriptions and advising patients on medicines with a strong focus on safety and service.

This training-focused role is based in-store across selected UK locations. No sponsorship and UK right-to-work are required.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer to the Pharmacist as needed.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of store innovations and processes.
• Support patients to manage repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
