Job summary

Boots Group is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team across the UK. You will support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services while you train for the NVQ2 Dispenser programme.

No prior experience is required and full training is provided. This in-store role is UK-based; salary is hourly (£13.12–£15.10, with variations in London) and there are excellent career development opportunities,

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals in store to assist in management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence.
