Job summary
Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join shops in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare team while completing your Dispenser training (NVQ2). The role involves greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and advising patients on medicines to promote health and wellbeing.
Remote applications are not considered; UK right to work and no sponsorship requirements apply. Training will be provided, with opportunities to advance toward Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Willingness to complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
- Experience in community pharmacy would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
