Job summary

Boots is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients as you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).

Working in-store, you will greet customers, learn safe dispensing practices, and help manage medicines and repeats to promote adherence while gaining valuable experience on the frontline pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• You will be enrolled on the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients to manage repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
