Job summary

Boots Group is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and learn through the NVQ2 dispenser programme while providing patient care and guidance on medicines.

Full training will be provided; no previous experience required. This in-store role requires valid UK right to work and may pay hourly between £13.12 and £15.10 depending on location within London.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labeling, endorsing, collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence.
