Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team across the UK. You will support the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals, dispense prescriptions, and provide patient advice while you complete your NVQ2 Dispenser training.

You do not need prior experience; full training is provided. The role is based in store in the UK with a focus on patient safety, adherence, and compliant dispensing, with opportunities for career development within Boots.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and manage medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
