Job summary

Boots UK in the United Kingdom seeks a Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will assist the Pharmacist by dispensing prescriptions, advising patients on medicines, and supporting the safe sale of medicines in a busy retail environment.

You will work within the store’s health-care department, building relationships with patients and helping them manage their prescriptions and health needs. UK right to work is required; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage prescriptions with reliable repeats and adherence.
