Job summary

Boots in the United Kingdom is seeking a Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring safe, compliant delivery of medicines in-store.

This role focuses on patient care, relationship building, and utilising new systems to improve safety and efficiency, with opportunities for career development including technician training.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 (Pharmacy) or equivalent is required or pursued with first-year MPharm completed.
• Current and valid UK right to work; sponsorship not available for Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Assist the pharmacist and healthcare team to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients in managing repeats and adherence to medicines.
