Job summary

Boots in the United Kingdom is seeking a Dispenser to support the pharmacy team in-store, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients on medicines to promote health and safe use. This role is based in a Boots store and remote applicants will not be considered.

You will work with Pharmacists and healthcare colleagues, follow SOPs, and have opportunities for career development such as training as a Pharmacy Technician within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with the healthcare team to support pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and enhance adherence.
