Job summary

Boots is seeking a Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in-store in the UK. You will assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring safe, compliant medicine dispensing. The role emphasizes patient care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

You will work with evolving store technologies, receive regular updates and training, and have opportunities to progress toward Pharmacy Technician training or leadership roles within the store.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing.
• Keep up to date with new store developments and improve dispensing processes.
