Job summary

Superdrug is hiring at the Northampton Online Pharmacy Operations Hub for roles open to qualified Dispensers and those starting out as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. The role offers 27 hours per week with flexibility across seven days, and a pay rate of £15.15 per hour for Dispenser or up to £13.95 per hour as a Trainee.

You'll support counter sales, stock replenishment and both the pharmacy counter and dispensary, with training provided.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required – passion for healthcare and customer service welcomed.
• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR keen interest in healthcare to begin as a trainee.
• Online pharmacy experience would be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
• Deliver service across the pharmacy counter and dispensary.
• Ensure customers and patients are served with care and professionalism.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. Online pharmacy experience would be highly valuable for this role.

Location: Northampton Hub - Online Pharmacy Operations Hub (NN1 2ED)

Hours: 27hours per week – Must be flexible across all 7 days throughout the week

Salary: £15.15 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.95 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising
• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
• Strongly preferable experience would include working within an online pharmacy setting.
