Job summary

Superdrug Stores plc in Stevenage is seeking a part-time Trainee Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly team. You’ll support counter sales and dispensary tasks, delivering excellent customer care with a focus on accuracy and safety.

We welcome applicants from qualified Dispensers or those starting out with no experience, offering training, development, and a clear path to career progression in a busy high-street pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) or interest in healthcare to start as trainee
• No prior experience required; passion for healthcare and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across the pharmacy counter and dispensary

Location: Stevenage

Hours: 13 hours per week,primarily Wednesday AM/PM and Thursdays AM/PM with flexibility to work throughout the week.

Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
