Job summary

MedMart Pharmacy, an online pharmacy serving care homes, is seeking a reliable Pharmacy Dispenser for a full-time position in Borehamwood.

You will dispense and prepare prescriptions, support daily dispensary operations, communicate with GP surgeries, answer calls, and use pharmacy software. Training will be provided, with the opportunity to undertake a dispensing course later.

Qualifications

• Preferably have previous pharmacy or dispensing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident communicating with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing and preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting the pharmacy team with day-to-day dispensary operations.
• Communicating with GP surgeries regarding prescriptions and medication queries.
• Answering telephone calls and handling queries professionally.
• Using pharmacy computer systems and maintaining confidentiality.
• Managing multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy.

Pharmacy Dispenser - Full-Time

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Pay: £12.71 per hour

MedMart Pharmacy is an online pharmacy primarily providing medication services to care homes. We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly and busy team.

Previous experience working within a pharmacy or dispensary environment is preferred, although we are also happy to consider enthusiastic candidates who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and willingness to learn. Training will be provided, with the opportunity to undertake a recognised pharmacy dispensing course at a later stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing and preparing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Supporting the pharmacy team with the day-to-day running of the dispensary
• Communicating with GP surgeries regarding prescriptions and medication queries
• Answering telephone calls and dealing with queries professionally
• Using pharmacy and computer systems
• Managing several tasks and priorities within a busy working environment
• Working closely with pharmacists, dispensers and other members of the pharmacy team
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation and confidentiality
