Job summary

Kamsons Pharmacy in Godalming is seeking a friendly, caring and professional assistant to provide a high standard of service to our customers. You will help with purchasing medicines, offering advice and collecting prescriptions within the pharmacy.

You will work in a busy, fast-paced environment as part of a hardworking team, prioritising a varied workload and multi-tasking. Training will include the Healthcare Assistant course as part of your development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to ascertain customer needs.
• Previous pharmacy or retail experience is advantageous; training available.
• Willing to train the right candidate on Healthcare Assistant course.

Responsibilities

• Follow till processes including sales of OTC medication and pharmacy merchandise.
• Dispense prescriptions under supervision of Responsible Pharmacist.
• Provide advice to patients on medicines and general health matters.
• Order stock to meet demand and manage expiry risks.
• Maintain tidy displays and implement price changes or promotions.
• Process invoices and paperwork according to procedures.
• Participate in delivery of services such as stop smoking advice and BP testing.
• Accurately label and dispense prescriptions.
