Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in Melksham is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Colleague to join our in-store Pharmacy team. You will work 32 hours per week, with a £13.10 pay rate per hour and weekend shifts required.

The role includes assisting with prescriptions and promoting pharmacy services while gradually undertaking accredited training to become a Medicine Counter Assistant and then a Dispensing Assistant. Applicants must pass an enhanced safeguarding check and be flexible with shifts.

Qualifications

• Pass enhanced safeguarding check.
• Weekend working is a requirement of the role.
• Willingness to complete accredited training to become Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and train as a Dispensing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Promote and explain pharmacy services (Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews, etc.).
• Support the Pharmacist with patient services and record keeping (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
• Develop understanding of Standard Operating Procedures and follow them.
