Job summary

Asda is hiring a Pharmacy Colleague in Newton Abbot for a part-time, permanent role. The position requires working 24 hours per week with day shifts and weekend work as a requirement.

You will assist in assembling and processing prescriptions and support the Pharmacist with patient services, including health checks and screening programs. Full training to become a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months is provided, with routes to progress to a Dispensing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Pass enhanced safeguarding check.
• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Support Pharmacist with delivery and record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
• Collect customer's prescription from doctor’s surgery and bring to store for collection.
• Complete accredited course to become Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and train as a Dispensing Assistant.
