Job summary

Asda is hiring a Pharmacy Colleague in Fleetwood for a part-time, 25-hour week. You will work in our in-store pharmacy, assisting with prescription processing and customer care, with weekend shifts required and a safeguarding check to pass.

You’ll learn and perform services such as Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews, supporting pharmacists and improving patient care. Training toward a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant is provided.

Qualifications

• Enhanced safeguarding check required.
• Weekend working is a requirement of the role and shifts can vary.
• Processing and assembling prescriptions will be a core task.
• You will complete an accredited course to become a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Drive awareness of extra pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
• Support the Pharmacist with patient services documentation (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
• Collect prescriptions from doctor surgeries and bring them to the store for collection.
