Job summary
Skills4Group in Colchester is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day-to-day running, help customers at the counter, and work toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.
No prior pharmacy experience required; GCSEs welcomed. Typical duration around 15 months with blended learning and on‑the‑job training; you will gain a nationally recognised qualification and start your healthcare career.
Qualifications
- GCSEs at A‑C or 4‑9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
- Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship training will be provided alongside the role.
- Good communication and a genuine interest in healthcare are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
- Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
- Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
- Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
