Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support daily operations and help customers with queries at the counter. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient service while completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

The role includes training and full support, with no prior pharmacy experience required. Apprentices must commit to contracted hours and blended learning, typically over 15 months.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Employment offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
