Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy in Worthing invites applications for a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice. You will support the day-to-day running of the community pharmacy, assist customers at the medicines counter, and work closely with the team to ensure safe and efficient service while training for a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

No prior pharmacy experience required; full training is provided. You will gain hands-on experience in a busy environment, complete the Level 2 Apprenticeship

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English are preferred but not essential as they can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths/English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.

Brief Description

BN11 3LA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Key duties include:
