Job summary

Skills4Group is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in West Bromwich. You will learn on the job while working towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship, with full training and support provided.

No prior pharmacy experience is required. GCSEs in Maths and English are preferred but not essential; initial maths and English tests may be used to determine suitability for the course.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:
Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
