Job summary

Worthing Pharmacy seeks a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community team. You will train while working, completing Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full support.

Duties include helping customers at the counter, assisting with prescriptions under supervision, stock control, and using pharmacy systems to process sales. No prior experience required; training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired; can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths/English Level 2, employment will depend on completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Job description

Working Week: Monday, Thursday and Friday: 9am–1pm and 2pm–6pm Tuesday and Wednesday: 2pm– This rota is subject to change and includes allocated study time.

Brief Description

BN11 3LA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Apprentice alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
