Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy in Southampton is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will earn while you learn, completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

Key duties include helping customers at the medicines counter, assisting with prescriptions under supervision, handling stock and deliveries, and using pharmacy systems.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English preferred, can be provided as part of the course.
• If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, tests will determine suitability for the course.

This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
