Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Sheffield to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and customers. You will train toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full support and blended learning.

Key duties include assisting with prescriptions, stock handling, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a busy community pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential; can be provided as part of the course.
• If Maths/English Level 2 is not present, initial tests determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries.
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.

About the course

Brief Description

S11 8HN We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
