Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role in the UK. You will support daily pharmacy operations, assist customers at the counter and work closely with the team to ensure safe, efficient service.

Training starts with an Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship and GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable. No previous pharmacy experience is required, as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.
• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
• A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Basic IT skills
• No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Apprenticeship details:

Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
