Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day pharmacy operations, customer service, and stock control. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Working Mon-Fri 8.30am–6pm, salary up to £15,778.87 per annum pro rata (based on a full-time £26,298.11 per annum). Duration typically 15 months with blended training.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at the required level for maths and English or equivalent.
• Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship to be completed alongside the role.
• Full training and support provided during the apprenticeship.

Job description

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

• No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Duration: Typically 15 months

Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning

Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

Up to £15,778.87 per annum pro rata (based on a FTE of £26,298.11 per annum)
