Job summary

Skills4Group in Chester-le-Street is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day‑to‑day running, assist with prescriptions under supervision, and gain a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

You will engage with customers, handle stock, maintain records and learn modern pharmacy systems while earning and gaining a recognised qualification in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship training provided.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.

DH2 1EZ. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification. About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Apprenticeship details
