Job summary

Healthxchange in London is seeking a reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. You will help with the efficient handling, storage, accuracy checking and distribution of aesthetic and pharmaceutical products.

The ideal candidate has experience in pharmacy, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a compliant, process-driven environment. This full-time role offers a competitive package and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment.
• NVQ Level 2 Qualified (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy loads.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Secondary school examinations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming product shipments.
• Ensure all items match the accompanying documentation.
• Report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant internal stakeholders.
• Safely and securely store pharmaceutical products in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stock.
• Accurately pick and pack orders for delivery to various locations.
• Prepare pharmaceutical products for shipment in compliance with regulations.
• Provide final accuracy check of dispensed medicines.
• Conduct regular quality checks on stored and shipped products.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain product integrity.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
• Work closely with other team members to coordinate workflow.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, delivery personnel and other relevant stakeholders.
