Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Essex is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full training and support provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
