Job summary

SJB Medical is recruiting for Functional Assessors to perform comprehensive functional assessments for health-related benefits applications. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team at a UK centre, applying your clinical judgement to deliver high-quality, evidence-based reports while benefiting from structured training and clear career development paths.

The role offers regular hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm) with no night or weekend shifts, a competitive salary of £40,000–£50,000, and

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years
• Have no current restrictions to practice
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity
