Job summary

SJB Medical is seeking a Functional Assessor in Fareham to conduct functional assessments and prepare clear, accurate reports. You will use clinical judgement across physical and mental health conditions while working with a multidisciplinary team in a structured centre environment.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Functional Assessor

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Fareham

Additional pay & bonuses:

• Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
• One‑off approval bonus of 5% of salary
• Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance

Working pattern:
Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Part‑time hours available

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.
