Job summary

SJB Medical is recruiting a Functional Assessor to perform structured functional assessments and deliver high‑quality reports within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

You will use clinical judgement to assess a range of physical and mental health conditions, maintain rigorous records, and participate in CPD and supervision, all within regular hours at one of our UK centres.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist).
• At least 12 months post-registration experience within last 5 years.
• No current restrictions to practice.

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.

What you'll need

To apply, you must:

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
• Have at least 12 months' post‑registration experience within the last 5 years

• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills
