Job summary

SJB Medical is recruiting a Functional Assessor to perform clinical functional assessments for individuals applying for health-related benefits. This role offers standard daytime hours, no night shifts or weekends, and a structured development pathway.

You will join a supportive, multidisciplinary team at a UK centre, delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments with training and supervision to advance your career in healthcare recruitment and clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports.
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards.
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision.
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
