Job summary

Prospect Health is seeking a GPhC-registered Pharmacist for a hospital position in Truro. You will join a busy hospital pharmacy team, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients and supporting clinicians across disciplines.

This fixed-term contract offers specialist training, ongoing clinical development, and exposure to a wide range of services within a collaborative environment in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • GPhC-registered pharmacist with UK accreditation.
  • Hospital experience encouraged but not essential.
  • Strong patient-centred care and communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications safely and in line with standards.
  • Provide medication counselling to patients.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other clinicians to optimise outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support stock management.
  • Advise on OTC medicines and healthcare products when appropriate.
  • Contribute to the ongoing delivery of safe, patient-centred pharmacy services.

The Role

As a Hospital Pharmacist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care, supporting patients and healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safe and effective supply of medicines.

  • Accurately dispensing prescription medications in line with legal and professional standards.
  • Providing medication counselling and advice to patients.
  • Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting stock management.
  • Advising on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products where appropriate.
  • Contributing to the continuous delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred pharmacy services.
What We're Looking For

  • Previous pharmacy experience (hospital experience is advantageous but not essential)
