Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Rushden is seeking a Pharmacist (Newly Qualified considered) to join our busy community branch attached to a GP surgery. You will dispense accurately, counsel patients and work with doctors and nurses to optimise care.

The role offers a supportive team, relocation package and training opportunities. The branch uses Medipac robotics and operates Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00 with 33 days holiday pro rata and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients.

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced pharmacist to join our team in the Rushden Branch. This branch is staffed with an experienced team including a non-pharm manager and 6 dispensersproviding an excellent service to the local community from their setting attached to a GP surgery . Currently dispensing around 10,000 items per month, this is a relatively busybranch. As well as providing a variety of services, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.

As well as providing a variety of services, like NMS, BP, ABPM, Contraception, Flu, Covid, Pharmacy First, Weight Management , the b ranch uses ProScript Connect to dispense Prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
• Provide immunization services (where applicable)
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products
• Actively participate in health promotion and public health initiatives

What We Require
