Job summary

Morrisons Pharmacy is hiring a qualified Pharmacist to join our store team, delivering care, advice and prescriptions to the local community. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, you’ll lead in their absence and ensure safe, legal operations across the pharmacy.

You’ll prepare and check prescriptions, dispense medicines safely, and collaborate with dispensers and accuracy checking technicians to maintain smooth daily workflows. DBS clearance is required before start.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy qualifications and registration: Holds a recognised Pharmacy degree and active membership with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Great communication skills: Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients, store colleagues, and local GP surgeries alike.
• A caring attitude: Takes a practical, hands-on approach to running the pharmacy, resolving patient queries efficiently and keeping standards high.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate advice, expert care and services (like flu vaccines) to customers.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming environment across the role.
• Prepare and check prescriptions and dispense medicines safely.
• Ensure compliance with legal rules, SOPs and data security requirements.

• Prepare and check prescriptions and dispense medicines safely using the correct dosages and materials tailored to each individual patient.
• Ensure complete compliance with all relevant legal rules, standard operating procedures, and data security requirements.
• Work collaboratively with dispensers and accuracy checking technicians, helping guide their development and keeping daily workflows running smoothly.
