Job summary

Morrisons Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our in-store team. You will support dispensing, ensure friendly and confidential service, and assist with OTC sales and stock. You will help maintain accuracy and patient safety while contributing to KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, confidential and attentive service to patients.
• Assist with OTC sales, stock replenishment and labelling of POMs.
• Process prescriptions in line with pharmacy procedures and safety.
• Help resolve surgery queries and report dispensing errors.
• Support the Pharmacy Team and Manager to meet KPIs.

Here at Morrisons our Dispensing Assistants are responsible for:

• Making sure patients receive a friendly, confidential and attentive service
• Supporting (and helping control) Over The Counter (OTC) sales and stock replenishment
• Labelling and dispensing of Prescription Only Medicines (POMs)
• The safe hand out of prescriptions in line with pharmacy procedures
• Helping resolve surgery queries
• Reporting dispensing errors and near misses
• Delivering a range of Pharmacy Services
• Supporting the Pharmacy Team and Manager with the delivery of agreed KPIs

About You

You’ll be the kind of person who has:

• Completed an approved Pharmacy Assistant training course (e.g. NPA Interact)
• Completed an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (e.g. NPA DAC - 1 year course)
• Shows care and compassion for customers and is always helpful
• Enthusiasm and commitment to deliver pharmacy services and KPIs
• Ability to use own initiative to help resolution of customer queries
• Comfortable working shifts and weekends where required
