Job summary

Well Pharmacy Brackla is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Bridgend. You’ll work in a busy community pharmacy with excellent GP relationships, delivering patient care and a range of services.

The successful candidate will hold an MPharm degree with GPhC registration on start date, and demonstrate a commitment to professional development within a supportive, diverse environment. Relocation support and a welcome bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• MPharm degree and GPhC registration are required or expected at start date.
• Management experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong patient-facing and advisory skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and professional advice to customers.
• Dispense medicines accurately and collaborate with GP surgeries.
• Deliver core pharmacy services (CAS/IP/STOP SMOKING/EHC/FLU).
• Support 8 substance-misuse patients and contribute to service expansion.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.

Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Brackla in Bridgend.

This community pharmacy is located near the (e.g. high street). It has an excellent relationship with the GP surgery.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

• It dispenses 3,500 items a week,
• It provides a wide range of services including CAS / IP / STOP SMOKING / EHC / FLU / TYMPA EAR CHECKS / WEIGHTLOSS / TRAVEL VACCINES / PERIOD DELAY.
• It provides services to 8 substance misuse patients.

This pharmacy is open 8:30AM until 6:30PM, MONDAY - FRIDAYand 9:00AM - 5:30PM on SATURDAYS. The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of 7 colleagues plus team manager (Team manager ACT) - x1 Level 2 checker and x1 part time tech

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.
